Ouray Ice

The small southwestern Colorado town of Ouray is a world-renowned destination for ice climbing. While the surrounding mountains often feature plenty of worthy routes, the Uncompahgre Gorge hosts miles of man-made ice walls on the edge of town each winter. In 2014, I spent a week swinging ice axes and soaking in local hot springs with friends.
